Congrats Lindsey & Matt!

Another baby shower today! We were so excited to make these cake pops for Lindsey's baby shower, because we just knew the shower would be adorable. And guess what...we were right!

Lindsey and Matt's little boy, Max, is due pretty soon and today was finally her big day. When we showed up to her house this morning to deliver the goodies, we were so excited to find all the adorable decorations... maybe the cutest baby shower decorations ever.

It was baby blue and white everything. Every little detail was planned out. There were a bunch of treats waiting to be set up on a dessert table. After I finished with the pops, I couldn't help myself so I set up the dessert table too...everything was so cute, I had to! These pictures are minus a cake and a few other treats, but you can still see how cute it was!

Mental notes (for all future baby shower planning) were definitely taken!

Amazing job Lindsey & fam! Congrats again!

Update: The finished table!
Thanks Lindsey!

Congratulations Kendra & James!!!

I've known Kendra and James since high school (which seems so far away now...). They were high school sweethearts and got married during college, & now they're expecting a baby!!! Apparently there are real life love stories out there! So cute!

Anyways, August 27th was their baby shower...which Kendra described as a "cocktail party with a bohemian theme". What a cute idea, right? Who made the rule that baby showers were just for girls and playing diaper games anyway?

We were asked to make some cake pops and cupcakes for the occassion and this is the invite that Kendra sent me for color reference (I covered their personal info.) ...

Kendra made those! Yes, seriously. How cute and creative!
Actually, she has started her own invite business called Beau Chic Mama by Kendra Beshk.
If you love these invites (and how could you not?), contact her about your next party! She even gives discounts for mentioning "The Sweet Bites".

And finally...drum roll please...dun dun duuuuunnnnn! Adorable mix'n'match cake pops!

These are my new favorite!!! Okay, I know I say that every time...but really! They were so fun to make. I love when I get to be a little creative! Thanks Kendra, James, & Beckette for letting us be a part of your day!!!

Christening Treats

A few weeks ago we got an e-mail requesting lots of goodies for a baby boy's christening. The theme colors were light blue and light green (obviously), and my mind was racing with all the cute ideas I had for these treats! There's nothing more fun than decorating for babies...baby birthdays, baby showers, baby christenings...I love them all! Baby fever? Maybe!

But really, I was thrilled with how this order turned out. We really went all out on these, and it was totally worth it. I'm such a perfectionist, so it's usually a challenge to make myself happy...but this time I did just that!

^ Mini cupcakes - Green velvet cake with blue cream cheese frosting!

^ Full size cupcakes - Blue velvet cake with green cream cheese frosting!

^ Cakepops - Blue and green velvet cakes with cream cheese frosting, coated with blue and green candy & blue and green sugar sprinkles!

See...told you we went all out! Love it!!!

Mini Cupcakes Galore!

Mini cupcakes are pretty much my favorite thing ever.
Mostly because I feel like if they're small, I can have 5 of them...right?

ANYWAYS! My mother-in-law's best friend's husband...(did you follow that?)...works for the city.
My hubby grew up calling them "Mama Roz and Daddy Tim"...isn't that cute?
I was so excited when I got an e-mail from Mama Roz asking for mini cupcakes for a city council meeting. I made a total of 6 dozen...lemon, carrot, red velvet, peanut butter cup, and chocolate lovers! Seriously...yum. I'm hungry just thinking about it!

My mother-in-law and Mama Roz are super cute and creative, (they decorated my engagement party and rehearsal dinner and they were so cute!), so they actually put this little cupcake table together. I think it's adorable! Loving the cake platters and the table runner!
Here's some pictures that Roz snapped for us...

Thanks again Roz and Tim! Congrats on the new building! :)

Hot Fudge Sundae Cupcakes......Seriously!

Since I can remember I have loved sundaes and cupcakes. A few days ago, I started thinking about a new cupcake to add to our menu and I must have had a stroke of genius because it hit me...a hot fudge sundae cupcake! We made the recipe and baked them today. It's not often that a recipe is perfect the first time around...but this is definitely the exception. I can't get over it. They are so delish. I nearly fell on the floor after eating the first bite. And trust me I didn't stop after one bite...I might be guilty of eating 3 whole cupcakes! I couldn't help myself!

If you still don't believe me about the deliciousness of these cupcakes, listen to this. We had some of the samples sitting on the counter when the dishwasher repair man stopped by. We offered him a cupcake (figure it's the least we can do!)...and immediately after eating it, he ordered a dozen! Before the flavor was "officially" on the menu...we sold them!

The cupcake consists of vanilla cake, topped with chocolate ganache, vanilla buttercream, rainbow sprinkles, and a cherry!

I'm telling you...TO DIE FOR.

Brought to you by the letter "J" and the number "2"!

This past week was a very special little girl's birthday. Julia turned 2 and we had the pleasure of making cupcakes for the little princess! Julia is a huge Sesame Street and Elmo fan, so we made adorable Elmo cupcakes, and in true Sesame theme we made the letter "J" and the number "2". The cupcakes were a hit with both the kids and the parents! So happy we could be a part of the occassion!

And here's a closer look...

We love these! Our new favorite! :)

CALLING ALL BRIDES!

‎'Tis the season...wedding season! Calling all brides! Need wedding favor/bridal party gift/candy bar ideas? The Sweet Bites can help! Leave your guests wanting more with a sweet treat to celebrate your special day!

I recently had my own wedding and used cake pops as favors for guests and people couldn't get enough! They were a HUGE hit! I also opted for a "treat table" rather than just a cake table. Cakes can be super expensive so we saved money by getting a smaller cake and adding delicious mini treats to the table. The Sweet Bites made mini red velvet (my favorite) cupcakes, and our guests ended up liking those more than the fancy cake!

I also used cake pops as the bridal party gifts. I bought wine glasses for the girls and beer mugs for the boys and personalized them with glass paint. Then I made matching cake pops and put them inside of the glasses and mugs. I spent under $100 (on 11 people!) and the gifts were SO cute!

Here's some pictures of our big day and other samples! :)
